Sarner Schlucht - ruins and castles

The gorge of the Sarner Valley, north of Bolzano. Higher up you can see the remnants of an old castle.

Renon/Ritten - Johanniskofel

Going downward from Wangen on path 4: in the picture below you see the Sarner Valley (Sarntal) and Bolzano/Bozen in the distance.

Here you see the gorge (Sarner Schlucht).

St. John's - the little church is on top of the rock (Johanniskofel); the rock is about 180 m high.
