Last Sunday as I took pictures of this flowers it happened that a befriended couple that I know from school times passed by. They told me that this is Saponaria. It is very frequent on the slopes around Bolzano. According to my book of healing plants it has distinct healing virtues too.

And this is an Iris, I presume.

Bolzano - governmental buildings

finished after World War II (late 1940ties), this building with its relief in fully accomplished "imperial" style of the fascist period casts a somehow sinister shadow over this part of the city of Bolzano

Chelidonium maius (Celandine, Swallow-wort) is one of the more important healing plants (liver, eyes, skin, ...). The name derives from the greek word for swallow. The shape of the leaves is very similar to that of oak leaves. Beware - it's quite poisonous.

Dandelion (Taraxacum, lion's tooth). The pictures of this post are from last Sunday.
