The same afternoon I happened to come near this remarkable rural building, "Kreithof", a major wine producer (see some reference here and here). Above you see an aerial picture (I scanned it from a calendar); the pictures below are mine.

Higher up on the slopes above Eppan there is the tiny hamlet Gaid. A chapel, the local Inn and two or three other rural dwellings.
